[attr="class,"bioentry"]the second son of a fae general, wil was groomed from a young age to inherit his father's rank and position. he had been trained from birth in the arts of combat, strategy, and leadership. the end result was a capable, trustworthy young man who had long gained the respect of those under his command. it wasn't a large leap when he was assigned as one of the two bodyguards of the fae princess. the honor was well received. wil took great pride in his duty, not to mention he enjoyed the company of the kind princess and her other bodyguard, the princess's fierce older sister. he fit into the role of protector easily. it was not unusual to see wil, the princess, and her sister strolling throughout the palace and surrounding area in pleasant conversation. no one feared for the princess's safety when he was near.[break][break] hence why it was such a shock when one day, a little over a year after his posting, wil was found standing over the half-dead princess's body, drenched in her blood. his bloody palmprint was smeared over the dagger sticking out of the princess's back.[break][break] wil was swiftly arrested and tried for treason. in shock, he didn't even try to fight the sentencing. here's the kicker though: wil has no memory of attacking the princess. one moment, he was standing watch in the hall outside of her bedroom, the next he was standing over her body. ancient fae laws prevented the execution of those of noble blood, however, and so wil wasn't put to the gallows, but instead he was banished from the fae's realm forever. along with his banishment, any trace of his fae ancestry was ripped from him. his wild wind magic was locked away behind an iron seal, and his strong, hawk-like wings were ripped straight from his back. [break][break] it was then, weak and stripped of his most precious parts, he was thrown through the gate to the human realm. [break][break] three years later, wil has made himself a life in the human world. he quietly mourns the parts of him that have been lost. he still questions the events of that fateful day. was it a moment of temporary insanity? was it something even more sinister? most likely, he will never learn. he is doomed to live with the consequences.
